Launch of TrainLab, our Interactive Tablet-Based Training Tool

Motivated by the will to offer decentralised training tools in tune with current technological development, Transurb has launched into the development of a cutting-edge application for tablets. This application called TrainLab aims to get train drivers and conductors familiarised with new rolling stocks. Norges Statsbaner (NSB), the Norwegian State Railways, will be the first operator to benefit from this brand-new tool, which can be adapted to numerous types of trains.

Award Winning VR simulator for railway infrastructure workers

We embarked on a brand new challenge in the field of simulation a few years ago with Infrabel with the creation of a “3D Cave Simulator”, which aims to train track maintenance staff for safety procedures, assess their response time in stressful environment and certify their skills.

Our expertise will soon be exported to Finland

As part of its strategic evolution, KRAO (Kouvolan Rautatie ja Aikuiskoulutus Oy, a railway training centre in Finland) requested a brand new simulation room in Kouvola. The latter, called "NewSimu2020", will include six Compact and six Nano Simulators in the use of the Siemens Vectron Sr3 train.

Transurb Simulation is currently participating in the development of TrainSim.net, a “web-based simulator”, in collaboration with the catholic University of Louvain (UCL), Multitel and Defimedia thanks to the Walloon Region.
